The Shopland family have been shaping and selling wood for over 250 years. Based in Old Street, Clevedon, the business covers the North Somerset area including Bristol, Portishead, Nailsea and Weston Super Mare, supplying to the building and DIY trades as well as the general public.
Products and skills range from sawing logs to manufacturing a wide range of timber products that include fencing panels, trellis, gates, doors and bespoke rustic furniture.
Shoplands are different to modern timber merchants in that they stock both imported timbers alongside home grown timbers. The home grown trees come from managed local woodland within the South West of England, such as Longleat Estate and Tyntesfield, carrying on a tradition of sustainable foresty that goes back for generations.
